两个士兵结伴同行，突然，一群强盗突然蹿出来。其中一个士兵飞一般地逃到一边躲藏了起来，另一个则拔出剑勇敢地迎上去，与强盗搏斗，经过一番战斗，他成功地杀死了一个强盗，剩下的人都落荒而逃了。这时，那个胆小的士兵也冲过来，抽出剑，把外衣往地上一甩，摆出一副准备战斗的样子，大声地喊道：“让我来对付他，我要让他们知道所抢劫的是什么人。”
